The day is cold,and dark,and dreary;沉闷的天，凄冷无光
It rains,and the wind is never weary;雨下个不停，风无休止地刮；
The vine still clings to the moldering wall,藤依然攀附着颓垣残壁
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,枯叶却在阵阵风中坠落，
And the day is dark and dreary.这昏暗阴郁的日子啊。
My life is cold and dark and dreary;我的生活冷暗乏味
It rains and the wind is never weary;（就像这）不断重复的风和雨
My though still cling to the moldering past,我的思想还纠缠着消逝的往事，
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast,青春的梦想却在狂乱中相继幻灭
And the days are dark and dreary.这些昏暗阴郁的日子呀。
Be still,sad heart!And cease repining;平静下来吧，忧伤的心！不要在抱怨；
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;乌云背后阳光依然灿烂，
Thy fate is the common fate of all,芸芸众生，万物皆然，
Into each life some rain must fall,生命必然会遭遇阴雨
Some days must be dark and dreary.阴郁的日子必定要度过。
